Date: September 2025

In 2024, Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire Community Rail Partnership (GCRP and OxCRP) turned to PRonto Marketing for full traditional and digital marketing as well as PR support. One year on, the results speak for themselves. From stronger visibility and increased searchability to standout coverage and high engagement, the numbers highlight the success of our campaigns.

To mark this milestone, we look back at what we have achieved together in the past 12 months.

Summary of Impact

PR

Part of our role is to secure media coverage for our client, pitching stories to journalists and gaining press attention for their work in the community.

Throughout the year, we attained 97 pieces of coverage, including TV appearances with the BBC and ITV News, radio spots with stations such as BBC Radio Global, and coverage from outlets such as Rail Business Daily and Oxford Mail, all of which were earned media.

More PR stats:

  • Written over 21 press releases

  • A total of 9 radio interviews

  • All 97 pieces were earned, unpaid coverage

Socials

Over the past year, PRonto has curated and enhanced the client’s social media, keeping it fresh, informative, and up-to-date with their latest announcements, events and industry happenings. This is a vital tool for any business’s visibility, especially for a community-focused organisation with community and connection at its core.

The key statistics from both organic and paid-for social campaigns across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google My Business prove our approach is successful, with the combined accounts gaining:

  • +1264 followers

  • +1.5m impressions

  • 17,710 interactions

Socials: Year-on-Year Growth

Followers

Followers on social media showed a positive growth, especially for such new profiles. This is a great indication of raising awareness and the profile of GOCRP and helping to build a community of followers.

  • GCRP: 1,758 (+890, +103%)

  • OxCRP: 528 (+374, +243%)

Impressions

Impressions rose significantly since working on the accounts, proving the organisation’s visibility is reaching more people than ever before. With GOCRP’s content landing on more feeds and in front of more eyeballs, the reach of the brand is exceptionally wider with positive results of awareness.

  • GCRP: 718.3k (+710k, +8,536%)

  • OxCRP: 767.3k (+762.7k, +16,744%)

Interactions

The incline of interactions is especially important for community-driven organisations, with significantly more people engaging with the company through liking, commenting, and sharing. This shows that PRonto has grown more than just numbers; we have grown an online community.

  • GCRP: 17,838 (+11.7k, +190%)

  • OxCRP: 6,641 (+6,010, +952%)

Meta Ads: Spend & Results

Social ads have been a crucial part of securing high levels of growth across social and supporting the brand awareness of GOCRP. Throughout the year we created a range of assets and copy to experiment with and optimise to ensure we achieved the best results.

Let’s take a look at what that looked like in results:

Social Ads: 35 social ads created, including boosted posts

Key Stats: Total reach across all social ads was 1.26 million

Traffic: Social ads drove 31.8k direct visits

Cost per Result: Average cost across all campaigns was 23p

Website

PRonto Marketing has been involved in developing the website in several areas. One of which was improving the user experience by enhancing and simplifying layout, navigation and flow throughout the site making it much more user friendly. Secondly, aligning with marketing campaigns, PRonto’s services included creating SEO-driven blogs, uploading itineraries and maps, updating web copy and content, leading to a healthy increase of site sessions (24,022), click-throughs, and page views (37,447).

Testimonial

“PRonto Marketing have helped us to consider a whole new way to approaching our communications. With their support, we’ve been able to share our impact and story in ways we never thought possible - even achieving our very first TV appearances. Their expertise and encouragement have given us the confidence to raise our profile and share our impact with a much wider audience,” said Hannah McDonnell, Executive Director, Gloucestershire & Oxfordshire Community Rail Partnership.

Final thoughts

Paul Williamson, Founder and Director of Midlands-based PRonto Marketing.

Paul Williamson, Founder and Director of PRonto Marketing, said: “These are impressive results for relatively fresh organisations. Both companies were less than two years old when PRonto began working with them, and these figures demonstrate the impact of targeted marketing and PR campaigns. They show that even young companies can achieve outstanding success when supported by the right expertise.”
